St Mary's Church of England Primary
School is the primary school for Beaminster, built to provide for all
the needs of the primary
children in this small rural town. The school is proud of its provision
of excellence and strong community ethos. An integral and special
part of the school is the Learning Resource Base. This provides small,
supportive
teaching groups for children with significant special educational
needs.
The staff work hard to meet the
variety of academic and pastoral needs of each child. We are proud
of the achievements of the children in the classroom and through the
wide range of activities, visits and residential field trips. The school promotes a carefully structured working atmosphere in which
all children are valued. Tolerance, respect and understanding of others
is encouraged. All these achievements are strengthened by dedicated governors
and a supportive parent body, the St Mary's School Association. S.M.S.A.
